Battleship is a live Bug Bounty program tailored to the unique challenges faced by the maritime industry. It brings together cybersecurity experts and maritime companies to proactively identify potential vulnerabilities in critical systems. The primary goal? Strengthening cybersecurity defenses before malicious actors can exploit weaknesses.

Last year, Brittany Ferries, a prominent shipping company, took a bold step by participating in the live Bug Bounty event, Battleship 2022. When invited to join the Live Bug Bounty program by France Cyber Maritime, Brittany Ferries recognised the opportunity to evaluate the security of its booking application, despite having no prior experience in Bug Bounty.

In the upcoming Battleship 2023, YesWeHack and France Cyber Maritime have expanded their horizons. This year, the event is open not only to the French maritime and port community but also to European players in the industry. The event will take place remotely on November 28th, lasting for 24 hours.

While the exact targets are undisclosed, Battleship 2023 promises to be a thrilling challenge for the participating cybersecurity experts. With the maritime industry's increasing reliance on digital systems, this event is critical in ensuring the industry's cybersecurity resilience.
